At AMC Engineering College, we’re taking bold steps to shape the future of cybersecurity. Our commitment to educating and empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals is at the heart of our mission.
Recently, AMC CopConnect Manager Ms. Priyanka Vaidyanath led a series of impactful awareness seminars across various branches, including Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, and ISE. These sessions, attended by over 350 enthusiastic students, addressed some of the most pressing cybercrime challenges our society faces today, such as FedEx frauds, phishing attacks, sextortion, and loan app scams.
Ms. Priyanka brought these issues to life by sharing real-world cases that illustrated the complexities and dangers of these cybercrimes. She provided students with a deep understanding of how these crimes unfold, the tactics used by cybercriminals, and the devastating effects they can have on victims’ personal and financial lives. Through these insights, students gained the knowledge needed to recognize and protect themselves from similar threats in their own lives.
But it wasn’t just about raising awareness. These sessions also offered valuable career guidance, shedding light on the vast opportunities within the field of cybersecurity. Students learned about the resources and support available through ISAC, encouraging them to explore and pursue careers in this vital industry.
The success of these seminars highlights the critical need for ongoing education and awareness in cybersecurity. By continuing to foster such initiatives, AMC Engineering College and ISAC are contributing to a safer and more secure digital world. We encourage other educational institutions to follow suit, empowering their students to effectively combat cyber threats.
Join us in supporting these essential efforts. By spreading awareness and promoting cybersecurity education, we can build a more informed and resilient society, ready to face the challenges of the digital age.
