An Ex-Indian Air Force Officer Air Commodore Niranjan Kumar Parhi has 34 years of dedicated and disciplined service with the Indian Air Force (IAF). While serving with the Indian Air Force, he has operated in multi-technology domains such as Communication systems, IT and cyber security and Data Privacy. A Masters from IIT Bombay, Air Commodore Parhi has served in various appointments in the Indian Air Force including four tenures as Commanding Officer, as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the largest Networks Operations Centre (NOC) and Data Centre of IAF, Chief Operations Officer at a Tri-Services Organisation, Director as well as Principal Director (IT) in the IAF. As the founding member of the Defence Cyber Agency (DCyA), the one and only organisation of its kind under the Ministry of Defence (MoD). He has executed a large number of communications, IT and Cyber Security projects in the Armed Forces both in India and abroad. He is a Certified Cyber Security Professional having a number of international, national cyber security certifications such as CISSP [(ISC)2], CISA (ISACA), CISM (ISACA), ISO 27001, CISO, National Cyber Scholar (ISAC, India), and certified in Cyber Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Cyber Crime Intervention Officer (CCIO), (ISAC, India), and NSD Certified Basic Information Security (NCBIS), ISAC (India). Air Commodore Parhi has delivered more than 50 Cyber Security lectures / Workshops / Seminars / Immersion Programmes for Universities / Institutions such as XIM University, XIM, Bhubaneswar, Silicon University, SDUAHER, Karnataka, MUHS, Nashik, Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Brainware University, West Bengal and others. Currently the professional is working as an Independent Cyber Security Consultant / Advisor and Corporate Speaker on current technologies such as Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Cloud Security, Data Privacy, Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain Technology. Applied Cryptography at various institutions, Corporates.
