An MoU was signed between the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Delhi, and the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) for securing Phygital Environments.
SPA-D Director Prof(Dr)PSN Rao signed the MoU along with Group Captain P.A. Naidu (Retd), Director ISAC, in the presence of Prof (Dr) Anil Dewan (HOD-Arch), Mr. Rajshekhar Pullabhatla, Director ISAC, and Ar. Raja Singh, ISAC.
The MoU primarily aims at developing and enhancing the SECURED ENVIRONMENT QUALITATIVE, UNIVERSAL RATING & EVALUATION (SEQURE) Standards from ISAC. The MoU focuses on training, capacity building, and outreach in the area of integrating physical and cyber security.
This is the need of the hour due to the rise in IoT devices, smart buildings, and the Nationwide push to Smart Cities in India. Both institutions have agreed to operationalize the MOU with the launch of India’s first Crime Prevention Through Environment Design (CPTED) Conference in January 2022 and an annual competition to identify innovative designs by architects for critical sectors based CPTED and SEQURE principles.
