About the course

A non-coding foundation that builds practical AI literacy for the era of generative AI and AI agents. Learners understand how modern AI works, use it well, recognise its risks, and are ready to go on to AI governance or AI security. It is the common foundation of the NSD AI track.

  1. AI foundations and modern GenAI

    AI, ML, deep learning, LLMs, reasoning and open models

    AI versus ML versus deep learning; LLMs, tokens, context and inference; reasoning, multimodal, small and open models; enterprise and personal use cases.

  2. Using AI and enterprise AI architecture

    Prompting, context engineering, RAG, vector databases

    Prompting and context engineering; research, analysis and productivity workflows; RAG, embeddings and vector databases; grounding, fine-tuning, APIs and AI gateways.

  3. AI agents and the agent ecosystem

    Copilots and agents, planning, memory, tools, MCP and A2A

    Assistant versus copilot versus agent; goals, planning, memory, tools and actions; human-in-the-loop and autonomy levels; MCP, A2A and multi-agent systems.

  4. Responsible AI and future readiness

    Hallucination, bias, privacy, shadow AI, deepfakes

    Hallucination, bias and privacy; shadow AI, deepfakes and data leakage; prompt injection and safe use; designing an AI use case, an introduction to governance, and future trends.
